HIP MAKIN' | VISUAL ESSAY ON HYPING

In a research on lifestyle I focussed on hip and hype: How we make something 'hip' by looking in magazines, following TV. When is something trendy, or how do we make so?. Specially something that didn't seem to be able as trendy first. I braught the visual research back into it's own world, but in a different way. The pages of my source are upside-down but have very strong relationship to my intervented sayings.
After searching for existing visuals I started to make my own. A regular jacket set in an hip environment to see if the 'nonhip' item gets accepted. And it seemed to work very easily.
